Places to visit in Kathmandu
Nepal is a country located between two giants India and China. But still Nepal has its own recognition in the world because of its historical as well as natural tourism places. In this post we will concentrate about famous places of Kathmandu that is capital of Nepal.
Kathmandu, Nepal :
Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal and is situated almost in centre of Nepal in Bagmati Zone. It’s also biggest city of Nepal and its closer to Bihar, Indian state. There are lots of transport ways available to reach there.
You don’t need any kind of passport and visa to live in Nepal if you are Indian citizen. Let’s talk about some famous tourist places to visit in Kathmandu.
Pashupatinath Temple :
Whenever we consider Nepal as a tourism place, it’s recommended to visit Pashupatinath temple because it is very rare, old and famous religious point for Hindus. Pashupatinath temple is situated in eastern Kathmandu at the banks of Bagmati River.
With cubic construction, wooden rafters and pagoda style it is also a very good to visit as an awesome architectural structure of Nepal. Pashupatinath temple is also referred as World heritage site.
Boudhanath :
Boudhanath is a ancient stupa in spherical way. The Stupa is said to entomb the remains of Kassapa Buddha. It is approximately 120 ft long in height. It is basically the Stupa of Lord Buddha therefore it is named Boudhanath. It is also declared as World heritage Site by UNESCO.
Natural History Museum :
Natural History Museum of Kathmandu is closer to Swayambhunath place. Swayambhunath is also a good tourism place to visit. In Natural History Museum collected more than 50 thousand species of Flora and Fauna inside it. At last it is superb place to visit if you are interested in Animal species. It is also referred to as oldest journal on Nature of Nepal.
